Happy Holiday Month! I hope all of you are stocked up on toasty teas and reads heading into the new year! 2020 tested our patience but it really did allow me to focus on my reading while quarantining at home, so I am grateful for that aspect!
Anywhooooooo, take a peak below for my November reads! It was a great month of reading!
Additionally any books mentioned below are available for purchase via the affiliate links below!

The Boys' Club by Erica Katz
It's such a treat when you unexpectedly fall in love with a book, and it's safe to say this book will be read again! TOO good!
Alex, a recent Harvard Law graduate, starts working her way up the ladder at a prestigious law firm in NYC. Her first year is thoroughly explored in the book, as well as vignettes of a Q&A of a court case interspersed throughout. I likened this to a mash-up of Wolf of Wall Street meets (darker version of) Devil Wears Prada. The book was entirely engrossing and I read it is one sitting! The author actually used a pseudonym and is currently working as a top lawyer at the firm still! Highly, highly recommend this one.

The Souther Book Club's Guide To Slaying Vampires by Grady Hendrix
Not what you tend to think of when someone says "a vampire story".
I was out of my wheelhouse on this one guys. Southern housewives, generations old vampire, unruly children, dismissive husbands - could not relate in the slightest. The book centers around Patricia and her attractive, or rather revolution, of a terrifying vampire in her community. There were multiple times I was actually terrified during this story! (Hint: mutilated ears, rat attacks, home invasion, etc.) If you're ready for a horror story, or crave the unsettling, look no further. I had some questions about the ending and why the author decided to end it in such a way.

The Flatshare by Beth O'Leary
Back to your regularly scheduled joyful and uplifting read!
This is a heartwarming story of Tiffy and Leon, purposely trying to distance themselves as flatmates, but inadvertently falling in love through post-it notes. Remember when people would write to each other and not have their noses in their phones constantly?! Troubled lives and pasts collide through ingenious storytelling and utterly lovable characters. I never could deny myself a good love story. It's a quirky, quick read that I would definitely recommend!

In Five Years by Rebecca Serle
Where to begin with this masterpiece?!
My heart! My tear ducts! My soul!
This story is equally heartbreaking as it is heartwarming. Two best friends in NYC, however one of them, Dannie, travels forward in time by five years just for one night. Her love stories, with her fiance and her best friend, are the center of this book. I loved the in-depth look at female friendship and the ode to NYC as a whole. This is a "finish in one sitting" kind of book and I promise you will not regret it. I know I'll cherish this story for a long time, and carry this book with me for awhile.

Oona Out of Order by Margarita Montimore
Hmmm...not really sure how I felt about this one? Maybe just not a strong enough opinion to really say how I felt.
Every year starting at her nineteenth birthday, Oona jumps into another year of her life at random. She leaps through fashion fads, friendships, music genres, boyfriends, husbands, family ties, and much more. The book really hits home the idea of living in the moment and not taking life for granted. I appreciated the ingenuity of the story, but I personally felt that the storylines were not fully seen through and it left me wanting more, in-depth character explorations. Try it out and see what you think but not a fave for me!
TEA TEA TEA! This month has been filled to do the brim with various types of teas! I will list two of my tippy top faves I have been sipping on this month!
1) Elderberry & Echinacea by pukka - deliciously berry and the aroma is divine! I have been constantly sipping this throughout my work days and while I read in the afternoons.
2) Paris by Harney & Sons - so strong, bold, and rich. OBSESSED with this taste and rich smelling tea! The tin that the tea comes in also perfect to repurpose for organization so BOOM - two fold!
