The Mother's January BOTM: Tribe

The Mother's book choice this month is Tribe by Sebastian Junger.

This book is a 133-page powerhouse! As stated on the rear cover; with poignance and expedience, Sebastian Junger’s Tribe reveals not so much about what’s wrong with returning veterans, but what’s wrong with us and the communities (or lack thereof) in which we live. This is the third book I have read by Junger and true to form, it’s a book that sticks. Tribe combines history, psychology, and anthropology to explore what we can learn from tribal societies about loyalty, belonging, and working together and how adversity can turn out to be a blessing. With the beginning of a new year, do yourself a favor and read this book to change your outlook, and your view on the life that surrounds you.
